‘Jetman’ Yves Rossy has taken the boundaries of human flight to another level — by flying alongside the world’s largest commercial aircraft.
Accompanied by his wingman Vince Reffet and strapped into winged-jetpacks the pair of daredevils flew alongside an Emirates A380.
The carefully crafted PR stunt took place above a typically picturesque Dubai backdrop. Such scenes have never been witnessed over Grantham.
It’s not the first time the daredevils have taken their custom-built jetpacks over the city. Earlier this year the pair spiralled over the Emirati desert before jumping into a helicopter and flying to Dubai.
Jetman’s been designing jetpacks since 2008 and the working model has taken a full 20 years to develop. Each flight starts with the jetpack wearer jumping out of a plane before reaching speeds of up to 300kph.
